Why the scale jumps two kilos overnight

The hook
“You did not gain two kilos of fat while you slept. It is not physically possible.”
First four seconds. It states the surprise outright rather than promising one, because a promise is a reason to scroll and a surprise is a reason to stay.
Why this topic is worth 80 seconds
Daily weight is dominated by water and gut content, not by fat. Anyone who has weighed themselves after a salty meal has seen a two-kilo swing that was never fat.
The trend line matters, the daily reading almost never does. Framing this early is what stops the viewer treating tomorrow morning as a verdict.
This is also the video that pre-empts a whole class of user complaints. If people can explain a jump, they stop panicking about it.
This is the single most useful thing anyone tracking weight can be told, and it prevents more abandoned attempts than any other fact in the set. A two-kilogram overnight swing is common, entirely normal, and made of water, food in transit and glycogen.
The arithmetic closes it decisively: gaining two kilograms of fat in a day would require eating an amount of food nobody could physically get through.

Nothing in the storyboard above quotes a figure directly. The beats refer to numbers and this table supplies them, so a script written months ago cannot go stale against its own data.
Production notes
- The litre-of-water-on-the-scale shot must be real and in one take. It is the proof.
- Draw the trend line over genuinely jagged data. Smoothing the input undercuts the point.
- Do not show a distressed person on a scale. The tone is relief, not shame.
