Timers
Six timers that run entirely in your browser — no account, no uploads, no audio files. A shared link carries the workout in its URL, and the screen stays on while it runs.
| Timer | What it is |
|---|---|
| Tabata | 8 rounds of 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest — the classic high-intensity interval, 4 minutes all-in. |
| HIIT (custom) | Your own work and rest intervals, your own round count. The preset defaults to 40/20 for 10 rounds. |
| EMOM | Every minute on the minute: start a rep at each beep, rest whatever is left. Default work window 40 seconds. |
| Plank ladder | A 5-rung plank ladder: 20-30-40-30-20 seconds with 15-second rests. Form over time. |
| Egg timer | Soft, medium or hard — a single countdown with the published cooking reference beside it. |
| 20-20-20 eye break | Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Runs until you stop it. |
Frequently asked questions
Do the timers work offline?
Once the page is open, yes — everything is client-side. The beeps are synthesised with the Web Audio API, so there are no audio files to load.
Can I share a workout?
Yes — the preset and its settings live in the URL hash, so the link you copy is the workout.
Why does the screen stay on?
The timer requests a wake lock (where the browser supports it) so the phone does not sleep mid-round. It is released when the timer stops.
Is the egg timer food-safe?
It times what you ask it to time. The minutes are the published ranges — and for hard-cooked eggs, the USDA stand-time method is the one that matters for safety; it is quoted on the egg page.
Timed workouts, logged results
